Mankind has interacted with plants since its begining. They sometimes used the plants in nutrition and sometimes as a medication for their health problems. Plants that satisfy both basic needs have started to take various names by time as a result of the similarities in the use or form. There has been an increase of the quality in nomenclature over time. In this increase, the effect of the vocabulary of humankind, which shows enrichment day by day, is quite high. Plants have been examined in many ways and various names have begun to be given in line with these examinations. Especially the tendency to give names because of similarity has started to form the basis of the nomenclature. As an evidence of this, we can show that the same plant has the same name in two distant regions that do not interact. As we see plants nomenclature emerges as a wide-ranging subject that should be studied not just in field of language but also from social and cultural aspects. There is a very close relationship between simulation and transfer. In fact, because of this close relationship, the expression “stimulation is the first stage of transfers” has been used by linguists. Therefore, the purpose of using these two words and meaning arts are similar to each other. The main purpose is to make the narrative powerful and effective. Another purpose that we can add to this may be the purpose of using language thrifty. Another common feature that can be transferred to the two arts is that they have a great importance in plants nomenclature. Both the similarities in terms of shape and some meaning transfer have been very effective elements in naming plants. In this study, the importance of quotations in naming plants is emphasized. In this study which is desired to be supported by various examples have been scanned forty-eight works. Besides some plant names are also included their meanings. After giving the plant names and their meanings, the studies from which they were taken and the number of pages they were found were also given.
