The Ottoman Empire left important traces in the geographies it interacted with in human history. Divan (Classical Turkish) literature was the translator of the feelings and thoughts of many cultures, civilizations and people living in this geography. In the Ottoman geography, especially Iraqi Turks have an important place in Divan literature. It is known that many Turkish poets, especially Baghdad and Mosul and Kirkuk, wrote poems in accordance with this tradition, and created literary works on different subjects and genres. It is also mentioned that the poets are remembered just like the poets here, even if they are due to their loyalty and desire to live there. The works and poetry books of some of these poets have not reached today or are still waiting to be researched and determined. There are limited information and examples of poetry about some of these poets. Hürremî is one of these poets. Hürremî is a member of a family of poets from Baghdad. According to the information in the sources, he was one of the poets who lived in the sixteenth century and had an important place in the poetry assemblies. There are brief information about Hürremî and examples of his poetry in poetry magazines, compilations and other sources. The reveal of these texts and their introduction to the world of science is an important step for the history of culture and literature. In this article, the works containing poetry about the poet and his poems will be promoted with an axial introduction and examples of poems that belong to Hürremî from Baghdad will be transferred to Latin letters.
