Language; It is a deep-rooted and at the same time current treasure that covers the material and spiritual cultural elements of nations, their past experiences, and sociological change and development processes. Considering all these qualities, it is clear that language has an undeniably important place in the formation of social identity. New developments occur every day in the process of teaching our language to foreigners, and the number of speakers of our language is increasing. In addition to all the developments, various studies are carried out to ensure that Turkish citizens abroad do not become alienated from their native language and culture due to their exposure to the language of the geography they live in. The Ministry of National Education's textbook series called "Turkish Language and Turkish Culture" is prepared to be taught to Turkish children abroad and serves a very important function in reminding children growing up abroad of their own cultural codes and ensuring cultural transition between generations. In this context, within the scope of our study; "Turkish and Turkish Culture" books will be subject to content analysis from a folklore perspective. With this review, which deals with cultural codes, a number of findings and suggestions will be made by evaluating the books in order to create them in a more qualified way in the new period.
