The aim of this research is to analyze the left-hand practice for performance purposes in Chopin's Waltz in A minor, B.150. The focus is on the technical and formal analysis of the piece. The study aims to provide detailed study methods for piano students to work on this piece more effectively. This qualitative research used document analysis to analyze Chopin's Waltz in A minor, B.150. As a result of the research, it was determined that the basic structure of the piece is supported by constant movement and rhythmic dynamism. It was observed that the bass line added stability to the piece with repetitive motifs and that the harmonic structures created a dramatic emotional charge. In addition, the modulations and cadences in the piece show that it reflects the aesthetic understanding of Romantic period music. The findings of the research indicate that Chopin's work can be an important source for music education and performance practices. In particular, the structured repetitions based on the bass line, combined with harmonic transitions, give the piece a sense of movement and provide a valuable example to be analyzed in terms of teaching. The textures used in harmonic transitions and especially modulation techniques increase the aesthetic value of the piece, while the importance of emphasizing these aspects in musical performances is also revealed.
