This study was conducted to examine the relationship between creative reading skills and creative thinking skills of prospective Turkish language teachers. Relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The study group of the research consisted of 102 pre-service teachers who were studying in Trabzon University Fatih Faculty of Education Turkish Language Teaching Program in the 2024-2025 academic year and determined by stratified sampling method. The data of the study were collected through the Marmara Creative Thinking Dispositions Scale and the Creative Reading Skills Scale for Student Teachers. Independent Samples t-Test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of the study revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between creative reading skills and creative thinking dispositions (r = 0.522, p < .01). However, there was no statistically significant effect of grade level and gender variables on creative thinking disposition and creative reading skills. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that more creative reading and thinking activities should be included in teacher education. In addition, further studies should be conducted in different sample groups and disciplines in order to examine this relationship more comprehensively.
