The rapid increase in production and consumption and the lack of resources to meet the needs have led people to reuse, including zero waste and recycling. The concept of zero waste has also emerged in art, and artists have produced works on recycling waste materials. These concepts, which have made rapid progress in many sectors worldwide, have occupied a significant place in our country in recycling different types of materials and functionalizing them. In particular, waste paper ranks first in recycling, as it is an easily accessible material usable in various fields of art. It is evident that contemporary art is multidisciplinary and eclectic, and an unlimited variety of waste materials can be recycled with art and are usable in accessory designs. Accessories are auxiliary elements that complement the clothes, make them efficient, and reflect the style of the people who use them. Although fashion and clothing come to mind when the subject is accessories, they become separate products and key elements when used alone and transformed into works of art. There exist many examples of accessories, such as tables, boards, bags, umbrellas, bookcases, shawls, shoes, and so on. Accessory making with waste materials is spreading rapidly in contemporary art disciplines. Universities, municipalities, public education centers, Komeks (Konya Vocational Training Courses), and art centers provide training in this field, which people are interested in due to zero or very low cost. In this context, a field study was performed in Kocaeli province, an important center where zero waste and packaging design intersect. The centers where good and original products are produced and training is provided under the leadership of experienced teachers in the field have been examined in detail; the works have been photographed and added to the literature.
