This study aims to examine faculty members’ views regarding the Children’s Literature course in education faculties. Children’s literature plays an important role in children’s language development, imagination, and personality formation. Therefore, prospective teachers must have adequate competence in this field. The research objective is to evaluate the effectiveness and status of educational practices in the Children’s Literature course. Data were collected from 20 faculty members working in Pre-school, Classroom, and Turkish Language Teaching programs from 14 education faculties in Turkey. Using a basic qualitative research design, faculty members’ views regarding the Children’s Literature course objectives, content, educational situations, and assessment-evaluation processes were systematically addressed. Open-ended questions and Likert-type questionnaires were used in data collection. Results showed that faculty members believe course duration should be increased, content should be enriched, more emphasis should be given to practical applications in educational situations, and assessment-evaluation processes should be diversified for more effective course delivery. Study findings reveal faculty members’ suggestions for effective Children’s Literature course conduct.
