The story of Abu’l-Mihcen, whose aim is to express wisdom and leave a mark on the reader rather than narrating an event, is about an event that is said to have taken place during the time of the Prophet. This story, which has a certain place, time and cast of characters, develops around Ebû’l-Mihcen. No clear information has been determined in the sources about the identity of this hero at the center of the story. Apart from the similarity of name between the hero and the poet sahabath Ebû’l-Mihcen es-Sekafî, common points such as the period he lived in and the Battle of Qadisiyah in which he participated have been determined. However, these similarities are not enough to reveal the true identity of the hero of the story. Because it has been determined that in different copies of this story, which has religious and legendary qualities, the hero of the story is referred to by different names, which we think originate from the writer. In various library catalogs and studies conducted on different copies of the work, it has been determined that the story is titled with titles such as Mu’cizât-ı Nebî, Mu’cizâtü’n-Nebî. This study focuses on two copies in prose and verse that could be an addition to the stories of the Prophet. First, the copy characteristics of the story were discussed, then the thematic dimension of the story was examined. The publication of these two copies was also performed in the study. The published prose text is in the Süleymaniye Library. The verse text is a short text with two copies, one in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Atatürk Library and the other in the Ankara Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library. The verse text was written in the mesnevi verse form. When the language characteristics are taken into consideration, both texts included in the study carry the characteristics of Classical Ottoman Turkish.
