Folk song, which is studied as an anonymous Turkish folk literature genre, is the transmitter and producer of a culture belonging to the Turks. In folk songs, where the values, beliefs, traditions and customs of a nation are conveyed, a formation within the framework of a specific event is observed. The cultural heritage of the people is transferred to the verses within the melodies. Folk songs may emerge from an innate desire and excitement, but they may also be taken up by folk song makers as a result of various pains (natural disaster, war, death, etc.). In this context, this type of poetry, which can also be seen in minstrels specific to the minstrel tradition, also appears anonymously. As a result of presenting the cultural heritage to the reader, each verse is felt as the joy, sorrow and excitement of the society. The folk song, which appears as an expression of the inner adventure of society in the process of collective accumulation, also contains traces and symbols of the mythic period. Human beings, who exist with the accumulation of the collective unconscious, keep the legacy of their ancestors alive. It is natural that a genre that extends from the past to the future also contains elements of the people at its core. Karacaoğlan is the minstrel who feeds on the products of the minstrel tradition by keeping the heritage of the ancestors' cult alive, who frequently uses elements of folk culture in her poems, who reflects her feelings in her poems and reconciles her improvised discourses with her saz. In addition to the subjects the bard deals with in her poems, a mystical style of expression can also be seen in her handling of nature. In this study, the symbols and images in the poet's folk song "Kaşların Kara Değil Mi" will be examined and the concept of archetype, which is the first building block of collective accumulation, will be tried to be resolved in line with the symbol of "kara".
