Tarama Sözlüğü prepared by the Turkish Language Association, still preserves its feature of being the most comprehensive publication that reveals the vocabulary of Old Anatolian Turkish together with its witnesses. With this feature, Tarama Sözlüğü is the main reference source for the determination of the historical vocabulary of Turkey Turkish and for the publication of texts belonging to Old Anatolian Turkish. However, despite all these features of Tarama Sözlüğü, it is subject to some justifiable criticisms. One of these criticisms is that the words belonging to the period in some works published after the publication of Tarama Sözlüğü are not available in this dictionary, that is, it should be updated now. The dream interpretation book of Ahmed-i Dâî’s Tercüme-i Kitâbü’t-Ta’bir belonging to the Old Anatolian Turkish period has many words belonging to the vocabulary of the Old Anatolian Turkish period in terms of its content. Tercüme-i Kitâbü’t-Ta’bir is a valuable book in determining the vocabulary of the period with words that are not found in the published Old Anatolian Turkish texts and Tarama Sözlüğü and/or are different in meaning and sound, and are less witnessed. In this study, we evaluated such words in Tercüme-i Kitâbü’t-Ta’bir within the framework of the criteria given above.
