Dialect research is significant in grammar studies. Some phonetic, morphological and syntactic features that are not included in a standard language can be found and determined in dialect research. In this study; The descriptive verb -Awıy-, which is not witnessed in general grammar studies on Nogai Turkish and in studies on descriptive verbs in Nogai Turkish, but used in the Nogai dialect of Şereflikoçhisar/Ankara and Kulu/Konya has been discussed. In this study, it is aimed to examine the structure of this descriptive verb and to provide information about it. In this regard, primarily, the opinions on descriptive verbs are included in the study and descriptive verbs that are determined to be used in literary Noghay Turkish were specified. Then, the various uses of the verb -Awıy- used in the dialect of Şereflikoçhisar and Kulu Nogay in the compound structure are shown. In the study, the actual structure of the description -Awıy- has been tried to be analyzed and two different ideas have been put forward at this point. Accordingly: In the first analysis, the sound /A/ added to the main verb may be a gerundium suffix; It has been evaluated that the /w/ sound between the gerundium and the auxiliary verb ıy- can be a binding and harmony sound. In the second analysis, it can be concluded that the /w/ sound in the structure may be an adverb suffix formed by transforming from the -p gerundium to intonated first to /b/ and then to /w/ by spirantisation; It has been evaluated that the sound /A/ between the main verb and the gerundium suffix may be a binding wide vowel, which is also seen in the Old Uyghur Turkish Mani field texts. Finally, information is given about the functions of this descriptive verb in the context of the sentence. All this information is reinforced with examples from the compilations. In addition, information was provided on the historical basis, development and use of other contemporary Turkish dialects of the descriptive verb in question.
