Abstract

Sehâbî’nin Dîvân’ında Yer Almayan Şiirleri

The poems written by poets at various times can sometimes emerge after they prepare their Diwans. These can be found as poems not included in the Diwan. These poems, which are generally encountered in journals, are also seen in independent places other than journals. Sehâbî, who produced his works during the 16th century, is among the poets with voluminous Diwans. This study includes the poems written under the pseudonym ‘Sehâbî’ on the basis of the documents obtained from the Directorate of State Archives. A total of ten poems were identified, six of which were found to be the same as the poems in Sehâbî’s Diwan. Two of the remaining four poems consist of ghazals not included in the Diwan. Two of them are poems included in the Diwan but are different in terms of both couplets and words. Sehâbî is a religious Sufi poet. There is not so much information about Sehâbî’s life. It is understood from his poems that he studied in a madrasah. He used a fluent language in his Diwan. The meaning and the beauty of imagination are prominent in his poems. In this study, which discusses Sehâbî’s poems not included in his Diwan, information will be given about his life and literary personality, and then the transcribed texts of his identified poems will be provided.
