Yunus Emre is one of the rare figures who have survived from the thirteenth century to the present day with his works produced in written and verbal culture as well as world view and philosophy in his works. Yunus Emre's memory can be mentioned in Turkish culture with both his works and legends told about him. In the provinces where his burial sites are located, it is possible to talk about the existence of a memory that transforms from national to local. This study is significant in showing that an extremely important personality such as Yunus Emre can transfer cultural memory through social practices as well as written and verbal culture. In this article, the role of the memorial day activities in the tombs of Yunus Emre in sustaining the cultural memory of Yunus Emre was examined. With this evaluation made in terms of time, story, space, food, economy, and belief elements for the memorial day activities, it is aimed to reveal one of the dynamics in sustaining the cultural memory of Yunus Emre in various aspects. The memorial days of Yunus Emre, who has graves in many parts of Turkey, taking place in Eskişehir, Karaman, and Manisa provinces, were evaluated within the scope of the article, taking into account their continuous construction. As a result of this evaluation, it has been revealed that various practices included in the memorial day activities have important functions in keeping the Yunus Emre cultural memory alive and transferring it from generation to generation.
