Abstract

Yahyâ b. Abdullatîf Kazvînî’nin “Lübbü’t-Tevârîh” Adlı Eserinde Yer Alan Serbedârîler Bölümünün Tercümesi

One of the important historians of the Safavid era, Yahya b. Abdullatif Qazvini was born in the city of Qazvin in 885 (1481). He wrote Lubb al-Tavarikh, a general history of Islam, in 948 (1541-1542) for Shah İsmail's fourth son, Bahram Mirza. The subject of Sarbadars takes place in the fifth chapter of the third part of the work. As a result of the death of Abu Said Bahadur Khan, the last mighty ruler of the Ilkhanate State (1335), and the collapse of the state, the political stability in Iran came to an end. In such an environment, the Shiite Sarbadars State, which made the city of Sabzawar in Khorasan the center and ruled in Iran for about fifty years in the 14th century, was established. There is very shallow information about the Sarbadars in the sources. However, today, there are very few academic studies related to this state. In this study, which was carried out with the aim of contributing to the recognition of both the mentioned work and the Sarbadars, firstly, information about Yahya b. Abdullatif and his work was given. Afterwards, the part of the Sarbadars in Lubb al-Tavarikh was translated, and the different information in other sources and research works about the Sarbadars is also shown in the footnotes.
