Abstract

Âşık Ömer Üzerine Bir Bibliyografya Denemesi

Âşık Ömer, one of the most important representatives of the Turkish minstrel tradition, lived in the 17th century and gained fame in terms of the number, content and literary richness of his poems. He also used the pseudonyms Adlî, Vehbî, Derviş Nihanî, mostly Âşık Ömer and Ömer, in his poems. In addition, he pioneered other saz poets by being the first saz poet who had the concern of collecting his poems in a divan. Since the first years of the Republic, many important studies have been made about him, and in 2010, a critical divan containing 1455 poems was published with the joint work of Yakup Karasoy and Orhan Yavuz. The divan in question is the most comprehensive and voluminous work ever made on the life and art of Âşık Ömer. After this publication, his other poems, which were not included in the aforementioned divan, but registered in conks or poetry journals, were published in academic journals or presented as papers. Âşık Ömer's poems are mostly recorded in conks, but less so in poetry journals. Based on this fact, Âşık Ömer has been the subject of the studies of folk literature researchers. Writing the majority of his poems in aruz prosody, arranging a divan, the literary arts and language he applied; It suggests that Âşık Ömer is a divan poet. In this study, in order to facilitate new publications about Âşık Ömer, the researches that have been done so far have been scanned, a bibliography has been prepared by listing the sources that can be accessed or known.
