Türkçenin Komşu Dillerinden Makedoncanın Coğrafyası

One of the neighbors of Turkish in the Balkan geography is Macedonian language. There is a field in the Balkans where Turkish and Macedonian live and interact. The language geography of Macedonian, which is the mother tongue of the Macedonians in the southern part of the Slavic languages, takes place in the Balkans. In Turkish name of the language is used as “Makedonca” or “Makedon dili”. The meanings of the words “Makedon” (Macedonian) and “Makedonyalı” (from Macedonia) used in this regard are different, and it is important to use them by paying attention to these different scopes. The largest population is in the state of North Macedonia. There are also speakers of the Macedonian language in some states around this state. The largest Macedonian population after North Macedonia lives in Serbia. These countries are followed by countries with lower population figures. Macedonian language has a total population of over a million in its geography, which can be listed with its speakers in several states in the Balkan area. Among the places mentioned, it can be said that the main language area of Macedonian language is some parts of states like North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria and Greece. Apart from this geographical area, Macedonian population lives in various countries in many continents such as Australia, Germany, Italy, and the United States of America, due to recent migrations.
