Abstract


Nûru’l-İslâm Adlı Eserin Söz Varlığı Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Many works of copyright and translation were written in the Old Anatolian Turkish period. Works were written in genres such as Quran translation hadith translations, prophetic biography translation, stories of the Prophet, anecdotes of saints. One of these genres is fiqh texts. With the spread of Islam among the Turks, various works containing fiqh subjects began to be written over time. Works such as Kudûrî Tercümesi, Ferâiz Kitâbı, Kitâb-ı Gunya, Nazmü’l-Hilâfiyat Tercümesi, Hulvaiyyât-ı Şâhî, Vikâye Tercümesi are the main examples of this genre. The work called Nûru’l-Islam, which we are preparing for publication, is also a work that can be evaluated in the fiqh genre. In the work, it is seen that issues such as fasting, prayer, pilgrimage, zakat, marriage, divorce, inheritance, slavery, and concubinage, which are generally encountered in other fiqh texts, are handled in detail. In addition to these issues, various stories that sometimes involve fiqh issues are also included in the work. The work, which is at the number 199 of Manuscripts Collection in Suna Kıraç Library of Koç University, is a prose work that has been copied with a vowel point. Although the work generally shows Old Anatolian Turkish language features, it also contains language elements that can be considered as dialect features in patches. In this study, vocabulary of the work titled Nûru’l-Islâm is discussed. The vocabulary of the work, which has a rich vocabulary, has been evaluated under various titles. In addition, the fiqh terms in the work belonging to the genre of fiqh are also discussed under a separate title. With the study, the vocabulary of the work and the fiqh terms in the work were tried to be revealed.
