Studies on minstrel poetry occupy a large place in research in the field of Turkish folk literature. The researches carried out to date are generally focused on the contents of the poems. The morphological features of the poems were handled within the framework of the rules determined by the Turkish folk poetry tradition, but the issues that did not fit the definitions were not taken into account. In this study, rhyme and redif features in âşık poetry will be discussed in the context of the poems of Karacaoğlan, one of the most important names in the minstrel literature. Rhyme and redif, which are important elements of harmony in Turkish poetry; In minstrel literature, these elements can be used in ways that do not comply with the definitions made in the context of divan poetry and new Turkish poetry. Although the researchers working on the subject before have put forward some ideas, since the discussion has not developed and has not been concluded, it is necessary to examine new examples. Within the scope of the study, it has been determined that the suffixes that have different functions in Karacaoğlan poems can also be used as redifs and can be used without rhyme. In addition to the examples that comply with the generally accepted definitions of rhyme, the existence of a rhyme type based on the harmony of different consonants expressed as "quarter rhyme" has been determined. It has been determined that redif rhyme cases in minstrel literature have different characteristics from the fields of classical Turkish literature and new Turkish literature. For this reason, new definitions have been proposed and the features that have been revealed in previous studies on rhyme have been examined in the context of Karacaoğlan's poems and differences have been revealed.
