The Turkish nation, which has managed to attract attention with its military achievements throughout history, undoubtedly, have reflected the results of his fighting ability behind these achievements in his language as well. That is why the traces in the history of the war, along with the basic words on the battlefield, have also taken their place in the history of the Turkish language. This study is focused on the period of Chagatai Turkish, which is known for its dictionaries of Turkish. In this period when a large number of dictionaries are written, generally Turkish Persian bilingual dictionaries written in Turkish are seen. The study is based on the comparison the war terms of Fazlullâh Khan Dictionary and six dictionaries written in the same period. The aim of the study is to compare the Chagatai Turkish dictionaries and to evaluate the language views of war terms. Firstly the war terms in Fazlullâh Han Lügâti were determined then, their status in other dictionaries was examined. It has been determined that the words found are used to a certain extent in all dictionaries. It can be said that words acquire a term meaning and this meaning is reflected in the works of the era. Many of the military terms identified in the study have been used in the Turkish military world for many years.
