Abstract


Bamsı Beyrek Destanı’nın Uşak Varyantı ve Bu Varyantta Tanıklanan Limitatif İşlevli Bir Gramer Yapısı

Dede Korkut stories are epic folk tales describing the struggles and heroism of the Oghuz Turks. These epics, which have been transported to Central Asia, the Balkans and Anatolia on various occasions and have been narrated for centuries, are encountered in various forms in Turkey Turkish dialects. One of these narratives, variants of which have been identified in many regions of Anatolia, is the story of Bamsı Beyrek. The story of Bamsı Beyrek differs from other narratives in terms of its motif richness and subject. However, Anatolian variants of Bamsı Beyrek narrative continued their epic character in oral tradition and took the form of stories and tales over time. The dialect studies texts compiled from Anatolia contain folkloric elements and archaic words and grammatical structures belonging to various periods of the Turkish language. In this study, the variant of Bamsı Beyrek Epic compiled from the province of Uşak will be introduced, and a grammatical structure witnessed for the first time in this variant will be examined. This structure is connected to the negative verb base with the -IncA converb and takes the postposition keri and creates a compound converb structure in the form of -mA(y)IncA keri. In syntax, marks the verb adverb in the sense of "-mayıncaya kadar, -madıkça" and fulfils its limitative function in terms of its task.
