Abstract

Van Küresin Ağzında Kullanılan Bazı Hastalık Adları

The most distinctive feature of the names of diseases in Van Küre's mouth is that they are generally expressed with an idiom pattern; As an example, today in the standard language, it is seen that the idioms of Van Küresin don't come with a throat as the equivalent of the compound verb to swell the tonsils, don't hold a head instead of coughing violently and from the lungs, don't hold it in the waist instead of being held at the waist, and to describe the wounds that occur in various ways on the hands and feet, it is seen that the idioms are used. Some of the names of the diseases in the aforementioned dialect are either from a single word [şıl (to be paralyzed), ?orılceyh (especially dementia that occurs with forgetfulness in the elderly)] or those that arise as a result of the sound change of the name of the disease used in the standard language (such as goiter-goiter). The study focuses on the disease names identified in the dialect of Van Küresin. In the introduction part of the study, first of all, information about Van, Küresin people and their language is given. Then, the disease names in Van Küresin dialect, which is the main subject of the study, are given. Here, first of all, the name of the disease is given as it is pronounced; on the right side, the explanation of the disease name is given, then the sample sentence is given and finally the sentence is translated into today's Turkey Turkish. In the study, the letter "K" is used to represent the speakers, and in the conclusion, a general evaluation is made and suggestions are presented.
