Reading, listening, speaking and writing in Turkish lessons as mother tongue teaching; in media literacy education, access, analysis, evaluation and production skills are gained. In this context, it is thought that it would be appropriate to associate Turkish lessons with media literacy in schools in the process of developing media and technology. The aim of this study is to evaluate the association of media literacy and Turkish teaching fields. In the study, the document review method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used and a national and international literature review was conducted on Turkish teaching and media literacy. As a result of the document review, analysis, discussion, comments and evaluations were made under the titles of media literacy, media literacy education, associating Turkish teaching with media literacy. As a result of the research, it has been understood that Turkish teaching and media literacy education can be associated with curriculum, skills, learning outcomes and common text. The use of media texts in Turkish lessons in relation to media literacy skills for the acquisition of basic language skills provides a link between Turkish teaching and media literacy. In the conclusion part of the research, suggestions for media literacy education and associating Turkish language teaching with media literacy are given.
