Although classical Turkish literature began to experience the hazan season in the 18th century, it continued to exist in the 19th century and even until the beginning of the 20th century. The fact that classical literature could not keep up with the developments of the period and that those who opposed change were outnumbered reduced the interest in this literature over time However, those who are still in an effort to change and those who are trying to merge tradition with modern are trying to understand the 19th century of classical Turkish poetry. they have been instrumental in its survival for a century and even later. Sofuzade Mehmed Tevfik Efendi is one of these. He has embraced and tried to continue the tradition both with his life and with his poems. Sofuzade Mehmed Tevfik Efendi is a scholar, a thoughtful and a poet. In addition to his writings and published works, in which he wrote his thoughts, he has poetry notebooks written in his own handwriting and a printed divan called Hulviyyat. This work, which is not very voluminous, consists of poems written in the classical Turkish poetry tradition. In this study, Sofuzade Mehmed Tevfik Efendi was briefly introduced and information was given about his work Hulviyyat, which was prepared for publication by us.
