Divan Şiirinde Âşığın Eğlencesi

The word amusement, which is generally used in the sense of having a good time, has been used in divan poetry in ways that have many different meanings. These meanings are to be deceived, to console, to find solace, to stop, to stay, to be there, to be late, to linger, to spend time, to be interested, to have a good time, to be busy, to occupy, to pacify, to calm, to appease, playing games, being happy, being patient. In our study, after giving examples with these meanings with selected couplets from divan poetry, what the lover's means of entertainment in divan poetry and his understanding of entertainment are shown through poetry examples. The lover, who connects the lover to life and comforts the lover, and the beauty of the lover, and other elements that entertain the lover, are exemplified under different headings. These elements, which are the entertainment of the lover, are classified based on 15 ghazals with "eğlencesi" redifs in the work of Edirneli Nazmî named Mecma'u'n-Nezâ'ir. In the work, there are nazires written by ?Atâ, Lâmi?î, Ünsî, Ferîdî, Remzî, Sadrî, Kurbî, Muhyid-din Çelebi, Vechi, Hasbî, Mü'min, Refîkî and Nazmî to Zülalî's "eğlencesi" redif poem. In these ghazals, the beloved, the beloved's imagination, the dream of reunion with the beloved, the beloved's neighborhood, the beloved's face, cheek, mouth, lip, tooth, hair, eyebrow, eyelash, eye, dimple, spot, height; the lover's tear, bellow; poetry and wine are counted as the entertainment elements of the lover. Like many words that have undergone constriction today, the words amusement or entertainment have also undergone a constriction of meaning. These meanings, which are not used today, have been tried to be shown in our study with rich examples of divan poetry.
