Abstract

Karaçay-Balkar Türkçesinde Ekli ve Edatlı İsim Hâl Çekimi

Noun case is the grammatical category between nouns and nouns, and between nouns and verbs. When the Turkish language is examined in terms of noun case inflection, it is seen that prepositions as well as suffixes have been used in this inflection since the Old Turkish period. When we look at the studies carried out in this field, only suffixes are included under the title of noun case and the subject of prepositions is discussed in the word types section. Approaching the subject in this way causes the noun case to be incomplete in some aspects. In recent studies, prepositions have begun to be included under the title of noun inflection because they establish grammatical relationships between nouns and nouns, and between nouns and verbs, just like suffixes. In the study, it was aimed to determine the structures used in the noun inflection of Karachay-Balkar Turkish in order to contribute to the research in this field and to reveal that prepositions, like suffixes, take part in noun inflection. In the context of the study, Karachay-Balkar Turkish literary texts were scanned and the suffixes and prepositions used in noun inflection were determined by making use of grammatical studies on Karachay-Balkar Turkish. As a result of this determination, it was seen that noun inflection in Karachay-Balkar Turkish was established with suffixes, prepositions, and both suffixes and prepositions; The study was prepared on this basis.
