The language in which people express their thoughts, feelings and wishes is also used to convey the cultural accumulation of nations. Proverbs and idioms are the most important and foremost elements that increase the richness of expression, effect, fluency beauty and in the language. Every nation has guiding and advising aphorisms that reveal the national values, culture and character of the society and are the accumulation of thousands of years of history. Proverbs, which are formed from thousands of years of experience of the Turks, one of the oldest and most rooted nation in history, and are a great treasure of words and culture, reflect the power and richness of Turkish. By emphasizing the richness and depth of meaning of the Turkish language and culture in terms of proverbs with this research, it is aimed to contribute to the increase of national language awareness with efficiency, fluency and breadth of meaning in expressions, to the more frequent use of proverbs in every field and to the studies to be carried out in this direction. In the study, using the descriptive scanning model, first of all, the concept of “sky and earth” was searched from the written sources in the fields of Turkish culture, Turkish mythology, and then the proverbs containing the words “sky and earth” were scanned and determined from the relevant sources. The determined proverbs were analyzed and evaluated semantically. As a result, it has been seen that the concepts of “sky and earth” have a special place and importance in the eyes of the Turks, and hundreds of proverbs have been created by using these two words from thousands of years of historical past to.
