Abstract

Yalan Haber Metinleri Üzerine Eleştirel Söylem Çözümlemesi: Ulusal Basın Örneği

The necessity to examine and analyse the codes of ideologies in texts, which are defined as the meaning intended to be conveyed verbally or in writing with language, which is a means of interpersonal communication and interaction, and the context of its formation, thoughts and values, reveals the concept of discourse. In the first part of the study, in which the elements of the term discourse are given, discourse analysis, which enables multidimensional analyses and is used in different disciplines, and the basic criteria considered in the analysis of written texts are explained since national press news texts are the subject. In order to understand the news as a discourse, the rhetorical elements used in the news text are mentioned and media and newspaper news discourse, which is one of the main discourses analysed by critical analyses, is emphasised. In addition to the information conveyed by news writers, it is inevitable that their own identity shapes the news text from various angles (cultural, social, personal, etc.) and for this reason, it is important to evaluate the news from an ideological and ethical perspective. In parallel with the verification platforms that have emerged around the world as a result of the need for verification/validation of news that spread rapidly with the changing new media order, the platforms used in Turkey are examined and evaluation principles are included. Finally, based on the analysis of T. A. van Dijk, one of the theories of critical discourse analysis, an analysis is made on fake news texts with textual and contextual dimensions. The texts are selected considering the fact that the claims in the content are analysed by verification platforms and refuted by their findings, and through the analysis, it is aimed to determine the discourse of the news writers by making use of the rhetorical elements in the text.
