Abstract

Yunus Emre Dîvanı’ndaki Hayvan Bilimsel (Zoolojik) Terimler

Yunus Emre has a special place in Turkish and world societies. The fact that a person who lived centuries ago can establish such strong ties with today can be explained by the fact that his cognitive perception is based on a universal human typology that can transcend ages. The values in his works are still the subject of studies in sociology, philosophy, psychology and linguistics and play a contributory and therefore decisive role in these fields. The basis of the linguistic studies carried out on his works is closely related to the fact that he meticulously processed the Turkish language and adopted a substantial approach that reflects the world of emotion and thought of the society to which he belongs. One of the linguistic studies in the Turkology department is 'problems of terminology and ways of making terms'. Various approaches and discussions on the subject are still alive today. The growth in the fields of science, art and technology, which are changing and constantly evolving, necessitates the continuity of the aforementioned studies. At this point, the main scope of the study is based on the identification of terms specific to the field of zoology in the author's work, which is dated as XIII-XIV century, and the examination of the relations of 'etymology, sign-meaning and organization'. This approach will contribute to the understanding of the natural ways of term-making in the Turkish language, and together with other studies that have been conducted and will be conducted with a similar approach, it will offer different perspectives on the solution of today's term problems.
