Abstract

Temel Tasarım Elemanlarından Nokta ve Çizgi Perspektifinde Ebru Sanatının İncelenmesi

The basic design elements are used in visual composition in disciplines related to plastic arts, and these include points, lines, textures, colors, tones, shapes, and forms. Marbling art is one of Turkish arts unique arts performed on the surface of water. Marbling begins with a drop of paint placed on the water surface or applied with a brush. These paint drops create points and point effects of varying sizes and effects on the water surface. Using tools like combs, which are used in marbling art to shape the design, various techniques are applied to these point that form on the water surface. Through these various processes, the points on the water surface morph into lines that are thin, thick, long, short, straight, wavy, zigzag, curved, vertical, horizontal, diagonal, circular, soft, hard, dark, or light.

This research aims to examine the relationship between the basic design elements of point and line in various types of marbling art, such as large marbling, tide marbling, combed marbling, shawl marblin, marbling, and nightingale’s nest marbling. In this context, the research is limited to examining the visuals of the specified types of marbling art in terms of the basic design elements of points and lines. A qualitative research method was used in the study. Document analysis was used as a data collection tool.

As a result of the study, it was observed that points and point effects are encountered in marbling art in large marbling and large marbling derivatives, tiger-eye or cat-eye marbling, preacher marbling, armed marbling, and other types of marbling. In marbling art, the line and line effect were observed in art varieties such as combed marbling, tide marbling, shawl marbling, nightingale’s nest marbling and peacock wing marbling.
