Abstract


İslamî Romancılıkta Emine Şenlikoğlu’nun Sanatı

Emine Şenlikoğlu is one of the artists who writes in the field of Islamic fiction. The author addresses social issues in her novels. She addresses these issues through the exemplary author and artistic approach she expresses in her essays, “The White Revolution Begins with a Pen,” and through the idea of ??proselytizing Islam in her novels. The artist’s spirit of the cause of Islam permeates her book, “The White Revolution Begins with a Pen,” which she created for aspiring writers. This book explores the art of the novel, the qualities of the writer, and the characteristics a work of art should possess. In addition to her knowledge and experience in writing, Şenlikoğlu provides information on Turkish grammar and literary terminology, reminding aspiring writers of their language and culture.

Feeling no part of any ideology or literary community, the artist has chosen to be free, offering her writing a broad horizon. Her experiences in writing novels and short stories, and her mind maps, have drawn the attention of readers, and she advises aspiring writers, above all, to be committed to a cause. Şenlikoğlu shared her memories, joys, disappointments, ways of communicating with society, the difficulties she faced while writing, and her passion for her cause with the candidates. She invited them to write and write in order to contribute to universal peace and tranquility.

Our study examined the author’s essays and some novels, including “The White Revolution Begins with a Pen.” This study sought to understand Şenlikoğlu’s advice to the candidates on the art of the novel and writing. The works were found to convey the ideas candidates needed to know about the artist, the work, and society through an autobiographical lens. In many places, these ideas overshadow literary aesthetics. It is observed that social issues are at the forefront of the novel’s supposed relationship between real life and fiction. Therefore, aesthetics and artistic understanding, the cornerstones of literary works, were overlooked in the search for solutions to social problems.
