Periodicals are the main reference sources for academic studies as they reflect the attention, events and ideology of the period in which they were published. Published for 50 issues between March 1, 1938 and February 4, 1939, Modern Türkiye Mecmuası (Modern Turkey) magazine reflects and produces the conceptions of politics, health, history, sports, physical education, and women of the early Republican period. The magazine, which has a political and encyclopedic identity, provides a significant amount of material for researchers who want to make sense of the history of culture, architecture, sports, journalism, politics and literature of the period. In order to publicize this opportunity, this study introduces Modern Türkiye, about which there is no independent study, in terms of its format, publication policy and author staff. The journal's sociocultural discourse intersecting with the ideology of the period was analyzed and its literary material was evaluated. A chronological index has been added at the end of the study to inform researchers from different disciplines about the content and to facilitate literature reviews. It has been evaluated that researchers who want to understand the politics, architecture, journalism, literature and social history of the period can gain 'new perspectives' through the magazine.
