This paper traces he quantitative state of the field of Turcology in China and East Turkestan through three basic bibliographic sources and digital libraries in the Uyghur diaspora conceptual and theoretical framework. The processes of Sinicization, standardisation, homogenisation and unification-integration are based on the concept of the Chinese nation (Zhonghua Minzu). This study considers bibliometrics as a tool for tracing mechanisms of social pressure and disciplinary transformations. The analysis is thematic and chronological of the institutionalization of Turkology as a separate discipline within the framework of Orientalism in China and East Turkestan. In the method section, we conduct a bibliometric analysis of 3816 bibliographic records from six disciplines, cross-validating two data extraction techniques: focused and comprehensive. Results indicate that high production occurred during 1980-2003, with the peak in 2002 with 256 registrations. The most significant reduction was observed in the Literature field, and the Language field remained unaffected. There was a large drop in all disciplines after 2010. This trend indicates a tight timing link between political developments and the 2014 Campaign Against Violence and Terrorism, 2016 institutional appointments, expert arrests and purges. purges.
