Erhani silver processing is a craft that takes its name from Erhan Şimşek and belongs to Amasya. It is a new technique developed by Erhan Şimşek, inspired by the different handcrafts he has been working on for years. This craft is unique only to Amasya and it is a technique that is completely handcrafted and based on pure silver. It continues to be kept alive today within the master-apprentice relationship. There are yaşam çiçeği, kabartma, klişe, gül and lale motifs specific to this craft. The source of inspiration for these is illumination and calligraphy arts. In Erhani silver processing, the silver is annealed, sanded, the plate is embossed, the pattern on the silver is revealed, combining the front and back parts of the silver with glue, fixing it with a fixing pen, sulfurizing and darkening the silver, there are stages such as rubbing with water sanding, adjusting and finally polishing. The stages are done systematically. In this article, Amasya Erhani silversmithing was examined in terms of master-apprentice relationship. In the study, firstly the history of silver was focused on, then information about Erhani silver processing was given, the stages that silver went through and the materials used were specified. Thus, it is aimed to transfer Amasya Erhani silver embroidery, one of our cultural heritage, to future generations. Today, it has not reached the value it deserves because it is committed by a limited number of women. Erhani silver embroidery needs to be known and processed by many people in order to continue its existence. It is important that Erhani silver embroidery be processed by more people and passed on to future generations.
