On the Distribution of -(X)p(DXr) Past Perfect Tense Suffix in Contemporary Oghuz Turkish

-(X)p(DXr) past perfect tense suffix is formed by the combination of the -(X)p gerundium suffix and turur (< tur-ur). The first examples of the suffix are defined in the Old Uyghur Turkish. However, it is possible to indicate that the past perfect tense suffix -(X)p turur is located in Khwarezm Turkish. The use of suffix continued in North-East Turkish with various forms. The suffix is used in -(y)(U)p durur ~ -(y)Up(dUr) forms in Old Oghuz Turkish, usually in the 2nd person singular, singular and plural in the 3rd person. Usage limits of suffix in the historical Oghuz area changed after the 15th century. The suffix was left in the Anatolian (Ottoman) area; It continued in the Azerbaijan field. In today’s Oghuz group, the past perfect tense suffix -(y)Xp(DXr) is found in the dialects in the east and south of the Anatolian (Ottoman) area. These dialects are represented by Azerbaijan Turkish, Kashkay Turkish, Khorasan Turkish, Turkmen Turkish and Khwarezm Oghuz today. In this Oghuz area, significant limits have been formed in terms of the use of -(y)Xp(DXr) past perfect tense suffix. These limits are as follows: Those who have only -(y)Xp(DXr) suffix (Khorasan Turkish, Turkmen Turkish and Khwarezm Oghuz, 1st group); Those who have the suffix -(y)Xp(DXr) and the suffix -mXş together (Azerbaijan Turkish and its dialects, some Iraqi Turkish dialects; Oghuz dialects in Central Iran, 2nd group); those with only -mXş suffix (some dialects of Kashkai Turkish, 3rd group); Those who are in the Oghuz areas in the 2nd and 3rd groups and have the -(y)Xb(dXr) suffix in all persons (Altun Kupri, Talafer, Reshidiye and Sellamiye dialects in Iraq; Baghdadi Shahseven dialect in Central Iran; Beydili and Ebi Verdi / Bolverdi dialects in Kashkai, 4th group).
