The culture, which undertakes the functions of living and conveying the values of the society, is fed from various sources while performing these functions. Oral culture tradition is also one of these sources. Oral cultural products, which carry information about the world of thought of the society, are very important for understanding social structure and values. Brotherhood, which is one of the same phenomenon with the existence of human beings in the world, is also among the first roles its assumes in life. Brotherhood is a sociological and cultural phenomenon as well as a biological kinship expressing the kindredness and relationships between children in the same family. Brotherhood, which has an important place in various religions and beliefs, contributes to the Turkish nation's social structure based on solidarity, sharing, mutual love and respect with its forms of brotherhood. Legends from oral cultural products, which stand out with their short and convincing features in prose form, allow us to see the values related to the phenomenon of brotherhood in Turkish culture. This study, which will examine the brotherhood, based on the texts selected by the sampling method from among Anatolian Turkish legends, is the result of the aim of revealing the aspects of the relationship between brotherhood and siblings reflected in legends.
