Jokes included in the oral narrative types of Turkish folk literature; It has structure features such as event, place, time and character list. In the jokes that have a short and intense narrative style, events generally take place around a certain type of joke. However, in the character list of the jokes, it is seen that there are other foil characters besides this main type. These foil characters contribute to the development of the event and the emergence of the comedy element in various ways. The protagonist character of Nasreddin Hodja jokes is Hodja; however, there are foil characters who take roles with him in the jokes. While Nasreddin Hodja is fixed as the protagonist in every joke, these auxiliary persons vary. Historical figures, statesmen, administrators, clergymen, family circle, various professions etc. show up in jokes one by one. In this study, the character list of Nasreddin Hodja jokes are classified. The jokes for the study are taken from the work named Hikâyât-ı Hoca Nasreddîn Nakl-Şude registered in Konya Regional Manuscript Library under the number BY7297. With this study, both an original Nasreddin Hodja manuscript will be introduced and the richness in the character list of Nasreddin Hodja jokes will be revealed. The classification of the character list is based on the classification of the characters included in Dursun Yıldırım’s work “Türk Edebiyatında Bektaşi Fıkraları”.
