This study aims to examine the relation between pictures and text relation in children's literature; In this context, sample pictures and texts from the books illustrated by Sedat Girgin were presented, and the compatibility of these pictures and texts with the "Children's Picture Evaluation Form" (RCKDF) was examined. This study was prepared in accordance with the methods of document analysis. The study consists of four basic stages: data collection, data compilation, data analysis, and evaluation. The levels of conformity to the form of the books used in the study are expressed as % respectively: A Strange Gift 66.66%, Twins Raining from the Sky 66.66%, Dinosaur Birds 72.22%, and Liars Country 83.33%. The books in this section of the study are examined in 18 articles according to the Illustrated Children's Book Evaluation Form. Data analysis in this research; The collection, description, analysis, interpretation and synthesis of the data were carried out by considering the order. The collected data were made by taking the average of the scores given by the three evaluators in the context of each item in order to ensure inter-rater reliability. According to the findings, the compatibility rate of the pictures used in the books was 72.21%. Furthermore, it has been concluded that the pictures are highly compatible with the texts and supports the child's development. Additionally, several recommendations for writers, artists, and researchers in this field were made based on the findings.
