Today, the use of digital applications designed for book readers and/or listeners is becoming more and more common. The aim of this research is to introduce these digital applications, which are becoming increasingly widespread in Turkey, and to reveal what opportunities these applications offer to their users. Thus, it is aimed to make inferences about how these applications can be used in the development of reading or listening habits. In this research, which was carried out with a qualitative research approach, document analysis was used. In the research, first of all, reader and/or listener-oriented digital applications that are widely used in Turkey were determined then the opportunities offered by these applications to their users were examined by using document analysis. Research findings have shown that applications such as Wattpad, Biryudumkitap, Storytel, KitUP offer their users the opportunity to read within the application. In addition, the findings showed that reader-oriented digital applications such as 1000Kitap and Goodreads offer opportunities for users to exchange opinions about books, obtain information about books, create book lists, and set reading goals. This indicates that if these applications are used consciously, they can be effective in increasing reading motivation and improving reading habits. In addition, the findings showed that in applications such as Storytel, KitUP, Biryudumkitap, there is a voice listening feature in addition to the reading option. This indicates that the applications can remove the obstacles and limits (visual disability, place and time limit, etc.) in front of the readers/listeners. This indicates that these applications can be effective in developing reading and/or listening habits by providing users with the opportunity to read/listen almost anytime and anywhere.
