Life in the world, which begins with the fall of human beings into the mother's womb, ends with death after the periods of infancy, childhood, adolescence, youth, middle adulthood and old age These developmental periods may differ physically, psychologically and cognitively in each person, as well as according to geography and culture. The period of childhood, which is the basis of our study, can be interpreted differently in various cultures, laws and religions. Literature, whose main purpose is to describe beauty and beauties, has tried to describe the child, who has beauty in its essence, in every aspect. In classical Turkish poetry, along with narratives and similes about the physical, psychological and cognitive characteristics of the child, cultural elements of childhood are also widely used. In this study, the relationship between the concepts of child and secret is analysed based on the couplets we have identified in divans selected from different centuries. While annotating the related couplets, the cognitive development theories of Piaget and Vygotsky, the two most important theorists of child psychology, were taken as basis. In the light of these theories, the relationship between the child and the secret is emphasised and the perspective of child psychology and Classical Turkish poetry is tried to be combined.
