Bu çalışmada Ahmet Büke’nin çocuk kitaplarından Zeyno Serisi’nde toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin nasıl yansıdığını ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması ile tasarlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın inceleme nesnesini Ahmet Büke’nin “Eyvah Babam Şiir Yazıyor, Annemle Uzayda, Neşeli Günler, Paspas Tepemde Kapiş Paçamda” adlı eserlerden oluşan Zeyno Kitapları Serisi oluşturmaktadır. Doküman incelemesi ile elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yoluyla çözümlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre kadın ve erkek karaktere verilen sorumluluklar ile karakterlerin meslekleri, kişisel özellikleri ve dilsel ifadeleri onları süregelen cinsiyet algısı dışına çıkarmıştır. Karakterlerin meslekleri göz önüne alındığında kalıplaşmış toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine rastlanmadığı, sorumlulukların erkek karaktere daha fazla verildiği ve dış dünyaya açık ve güçlü olanın kadın karakter olduğu görülmektedir. Resimlerin cinsiyeti yansıtma durumu incelendiğinde cinsiyetle ilişkilendirilen meslek gruplarının, cinsiyete atfedilen kıyafet ve aksesuar seçiminin, karakterler ile bağdaştırılan nesne ve renklerin, bedensel gücü kullanma durumunun ve dış mekân ilişkilendirilmesinin geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ile desteklenmediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, it is aimed to reveal how gender roles are reflected in the Zeyno Series, one of Ahmet Büke’s children’s books. For this purpose, the research was designed with a case study, one of the qualitative research designs. Obtained data were collected by document analysis method. The object of study of the study is the Zeyno Books Series, which consists of Ahmet Büke’s works titled” Alas, My Father Writes Poetry, My Mother in Space, Joyful Days, My Mat is on My Top, Kapiş Paçamda”. The data obtained through document review were analyzed and interpreted through content analysis. According to the findings, the responsibilities, occupations, personal characteristics and linguistic expressions given to the male and female characters have taken them out of the ongoing perception of gender. Considering the professions of the characters, it is seen that stereotyped gender roles are not encountered, responsibilities are given more to the male character, and the female character is the one who is open and strong to the outside world. When the images reflecting the gender are examined, it is concluded that the occupational groups associated with gender, the choice of clothes and accessories attributed to gender, the objects and colors associated with the characters, the use of bodily power and the association with the outdoors are not supported by traditional gender roles.
