Van Küresin ağzında hastalık adlarının en belirgin özelliği genelde bir deyim kalıbıyla ifade edilmesidir; örnek olarak bugün ölçünlü dilde bademcikleri şişmek birleşik fiilinin karşılığı olarak Van Küresin ağzında boğazleı gelmeyh, şiddetli bir şekilde ve ciğerden öksürmek yerine kepeleyh tutma?, beli tutulmak yerine beline fılk atma?, el ve ayaklarda çeşitli şekillerde oluşan yaraları tanımlamak için demırel tuTme? deyimlerinin kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Söz konusu ağızda hastalık adlarının bir kısmı ise ya tek kelimeden [şıl (felç olmak), ?orılceyh (özellikle yaşlılarda unutkanlık ile beliren bunama hastalığı)] ya da ölçünlü dilde kullanılan hastalık isminin ses değişimine uğraması sonucunda ortaya çıkanlardan oluşmaktadır (guatr-guvetör gibi). Çalışmada, Van Küresin ağzında tespit edilen hastalık adları üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında öncelikle Van, Küresinliler ve onların dilleri hakkında ana hatlarıyla bilgiler verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ardından çalışmanın esas konusu olan Van Küresin ağzındaki hastalık adları verilmiştir. Burada öncelikle hastalık ismi, telaffuz edildiği gibi aktarılmış; hemen sağ tarafında hastalık isminin açıklaması daha sonra örnek cümle verilmiş ve en sonunda da cümlenin günümüz Türkiye Türkçesine aktarımı yapılmıştır. Çalışmada konuşmacıları temsilen “K” harfi kullanılmış, sonuç kısmında ise genel bir değerlendirme yapılıp öneriler sunulmuştur.

Some of the names of the diseases in the aforementioned dialect are either from a single word [şıl (to be paralyzed), ?orılceyh (especially dementia that occurs with forgetfulness in the elderly)] or those that arise as a result of the sound change of the name of the disease used in the standard language (such as goiter-goiter). The study focuses on the disease names identified in the dialect of Van Küresin. In the introduction part of the study, first of all, information about Van, Küresin people and their language is given. Then, the disease names in Van Küresin dialect, which is the main subject of the study, are given. Here, first of all, the name of the disease is given as it is pronounced; on the right side, the explanation of the disease name is given, then the sample sentence is given and finally the sentence is translated into today's Turkey Turkish. In the study, the letter "K" is used to represent the speakers, and in the conclusion, a general evaluation is made and suggestions are presented.
