Çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de Uluslararası Bakalorya İlk Yıllar Programı’nı uygulayan veya programın felsefesini benimseyip bu doğrultuda hareket eden tüm eğitim-öğretim paydaşlarına programı çerçeveleyen altı temayla uyumlu kitap tanıtımlarından yararlanabilme noktasında seçenekler sunmaktır. Programı uygulayan okulların öğrencileri için öğretmenler tarafından hazırlanmış okuma listelerinin olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda programın temaları ile uyumlu kitapların seçimi sorunu göze çarpmaktadır. Çalışma, bu soruna çözüm noktasında yardımcı olması bakımından önem taşımaktadır. Nitel ve betimsel olan çalışmada, amaçlı örnekleme türlerinden ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Belirlenen ölçüt, programa özgü uygulama örnekleri olan yayınevleridir ve örneklem, program temaları ile uyumlu kitap tanıtımları yapan yayınevlerine ait uygulamalardır. Verilerin toplanmasında doküman incelemesinden yararlanılarak programa ait bilgilerin toplanmasının ardından çocuk kitapları yayımlayan ve bu alanda öne çıkan yayınevleri araştırılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde program temaları ile ilişkilendirilmiş kitaplar için doğrudan uygunluk listesi sunma, kataloglarda veya kitap tanıtım sayfalarında programın temaları özelinde kitapları tanıtma yoluna gidildiği görülmüştür. Çalışma sonucunda programı çerçeveleyen temalara özgü kitap seçiminde yaşanan sorun doğrultusunda var olan uygulamalardan hareketle seçenekler ortaya konmuştur.

The aim of the study is to offer options to all education stakeholders who implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program in Turkey or adopt the philosophy of the program and act in this direction, at the point of benefiting from book promotions compatible with the six themes that frame the program. It is seen that there are reading lists prepared by the teachers for the students of the schools that implement the program. In this context, the problem of choosing books that are compatible with the themes of the program stands out. The study is important in terms of helping to solve this problem. In the qualitative and descriptive study, criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling types, was used. The criteria determined are the publishing houses with the application examples specific to the program and the sample is the applications belonging to the publishers that promote the books in line with the program themes. After collecting information about the program by using document analysis in data collection, publishing houses that publish children's books and stand out in this field were searched. In the analysis of the data, it has been seen that the method of presenting a direct suitability list for the books associated with the program themes, and promoting the books in the catalogs or on the book introduction pages, specific to the themes of the program. As a result of the study, in line with the problem experienced in the selection of books specific to the themes that frame the program, options were put forward based on the existing applications.
