Bu çalışma, Başar Sabuncu’nun 1966 yılında yazdığı Şerefiye adlı oyununun toplumcu edebiyatın ilkeleri açısından ve Michel Foucault’nun kavramsallaştırdığı özne ve iktidar ilişkileri bağlamında incelenmesi hakkındadır. Çalışmanın öne çıkan iki amacı söz konusudur. Bunlardan birincisi, toplumcu etiketinin sınırlarını genişleterek bu kapsamda incelenebilecek edebî üretimlerin değerlendirilmesine katkı sunmak; ikincisi, yazarın iktidarının, toplumcu bir metnin anlamlandırılmasındaki rolünü belirlemektir. Buradan hareketle ilk olarak, genel literatürde toplumculuktan ne anlaşıldığı ve kavramın ideolojik sınırlarının ne olduğu araştırılacak, devamında ilgili tabirin kapsam alanının genişletilebileceğine dair öneriler sunulacaktır. Toplumculuk söz konusu olduğunda ve bu minvalde üretilen edebî metinler dikkate alındığında kavramın, Marksist estetikle sınırlandırılarak ele alındığı söylenebilir. Makalede, bu bakış açısı tartışmaya açılarak ilgili tabirin daha geniş bir çerçeveye sahip olduğu iddia edilecektir. Daha sonra Şerefiye oyununda toplumculuğun ne şekilde görünür kılındığına odaklanılarak eser, özne ve iktidar ilişkisi göz önüne alınarak değerlendirilecektir. Öncelikle, sınıf, toplumsal rol ve toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri gibi, metin boyunca süregelen çatışmalar, ekonomik altyapının belirleyiciliğinde ve Foucault’nun terminolojisiyle ilişkilendirilerek çözümlenecektir. Sonuçta, iktidar lehine sürekli işleyen özneleştirme pratiklerinin, özelde Şerefiye’de, genelde toplumcu metinlerde nasıl uygulandığı üzerinde durularak okurun, söylemsel bir pratik olan metin aracılığıyla ve ideolojinin belirleyiciliğinde yazarın iktidarına tabi kılınmasının teknikleri ortaya konup tartışılacaktır.

This study is about the analysis of Başar Sabuncu's 1966 play Şerefiye in terms of the principles of socialist literature and the relations of subject and power as conceptualized by Michel Foucault. The study has two prominent aims. The first of these is to contribute to the evaluation of literary productions that can be analyzed within this scope by expanding the boundaries of the label socialist; the second is to determine the role of the author's power in making sense of a socialist text. From this point of view, firstly, what is understood as socialism in the general literature and what the ideological limits of the concept are will be investigated, and then suggestions will be made for expanding the scope of the related term. When it comes to communitarianism and the literary texts produced in this regard, it can be said that the concept is handled by limiting it to Marxist aesthetics. In this article, this point of view will be discussed and it will be argued that the term has a broader framework. Then, by focusing on how socialism is made visible in the play Şerefiye, the work will be evaluated in terms of the relationship between subject and power. First of all, conflicts such as class, social role and gender roles, which persist throughout the text, will be analyzed in relation to Foucault's terminology and under the determination of economic infrastructure. Finally, the techniques of subordinating the reader to the author's power through the text, which is a discursive practice, and under the determination of ideology will be revealed and discussed by focusing on how the practices of subjectification, which constantly work in favor of power, are applied in Şerefiye in particular and in socialist texts in general.
