It is thought that taking children’s opinions in designing libraries and determining the activities to be carried out in libraries is important in protecting children’s right to participation and ensuring that children are willing to use the library by having positive experiences in the library. This study primarily aims to determine preschool children’s views and experiences about the library. This study was conducted with 43 preschool children in a basic qualitative research design. The study’s data were collected through "semi-structured interview forms" consisting of questions to determine children’s experiences and opinions about the library. In addition, children drew pictures in line with the instructions and described the pictures they drew. The data of the study were analyzed by inductive method. As a result of the study, it was seen that children mostly drew books, bookshelves, and people/children reading books in their drawings. During the interviews, 22 children stated they had been to the library before, while 21 indicated they had never been there. Children most frequently suggested that the library should have a playground/toy, have children’s books, and have books according to the child’s age and interest. It was determined that children perceived the library as a place to be quiet, not to play games, and as a place to go from the preschool period. It can be suggested that libraries should be designed by taking the opinions of children and children’s libraries should be increased.
