Divan literature, one of the most tangible manifestations of our ancient culture and civilization, has seen many poets wield their pens throughout the centuries. This study focuses on Abdülmecid Zühdi Efendi, a poet who lived in the 19th century, and his Divan (collection of poems). Sources containing information about Abdülmecid Zühdi Efendi are quite scarce. Most of the information we will provide about him comes from his Divan. Abdülmecid Zühdi Efendi was from Amasya and belonged to a noble family. He lived a comfortable life and served as a member of the court. Afterwards, he developed a passion for poetry and literature. His Divan exists in a single copy, registered in the National Library under collection number 06 Mil Yz Fb 340. The title of the Divan is inscribed with the words "Divan-ı Zühdi" in blue ink. The Divan is written in Rika script. The beginning of this study discusses Abdülmecid Zühdi Efendi's life, profession, and literary personality. The formal and thematic characteristics of the Divan were then examined. A description of the manuscript was provided, and the first and last folios were shown. The study concludes with a summary of Abdülmecid Zühdi Efendi and his Divan. Since all of this was done within the scope of an article, naturally, there are limitations in the information provided and the evaluations made.
