The aim of this study is to compare the perspectives on national identity in the election manifestos of the People's and Millet Alliances, which made it to the second round of the 2023 Republic of Türkiye Presidential election. Election manifestos are the written presentation of a political party's common views to the public. Election manifestos are important for political parties to define their ideologies, future imaginations and themselves. For this reason, this study compares the perspectives of political parties on the concept of national identity through their election manifestos. In the study, firstly, the historical process of the public administration's perspective on national identity in Türkiye is analyzed. Subsequently, a literature review on national identity is presented. In the research, the declarations of both alliances were analyzed using the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. The perspectives on national identity in the declarations are discussed within the framework of the concepts of identity, education, migration and culture. In the findings obtained, it was determined that the People's Alliance addressed national identity in more detail in the election declaration it presented to the public than the Millet Alliance. It was concluded that the People's Alliance used a more effective language in the titles of identity, education and culture, and the Millet Alliance used a more effective language in the title of migration.
